It is hard to believe that we are heading into November! Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Staff and students are doing a great job working hard and making growth! It was a great week to be a Hurricane!

Girls Basketball Try-Out Practices begin this week. Here is the schedule and try-out information.

Try-Out Practice Schedule

Monday, November 6: 3:00-4:00

Tuesday, November 7: 3:00-4:00

Players, please make sure you come to practice with tennis shoes, shorts and a t-shirt to begin.

All players will practice together for the times listed above. After the practices listed above, there may be different practice schedules after teams are created.

PLEASE USE DOOR A2 FOR STUDENT PICKUP FROM PRACTICE.

Starting Monday, November 6, Hendricks Turkey Battle begins! Staff will disguise a turkey to keep them safe this season! Students will vote for their favorite turkey using coins! All silver coins will count toward positive points. All pennies will count toward negative points! We will keep a running total each day to determine a winner! All money collected will be donated to Pantry Pals so they can purchase needed items this holiday season! I can't wait to see the creativity of the Hendricks staff! Students, start taking some time to do a few extra chores around the house to earn some coins for this year's Turkey Battle!

In an effort to eliminate the wait time after school Hendricks will be reorganizing dismissal at the end of each day. Students going to the Boys/Girls Club after school, will be dismissed to buses at 2:18. They will be transported to the Club and the buses will return to HES. Once all of the buses arrive back at HES, the remaining students will load to go home. This will delay dismissal 5-10 minutes each day. This process will begin on Monday, October 16, 2023. We are asking that any requests for a transportation change be submitted to the office no later than 1:30 pm daily. A reminder that requests must be consistent throughout the week, meaning that the pick up and/or drop off address remains the same all week.
