According to Truth Initiative data, 60% of 15- to 24-year-old current e-cigarette users surveyed want to quit vaping within the year. If you are looking for help breaking the cycle of addiction, you can speak with a school counselor or visit We Are Truth and text DITCHVAPE to 88709. The State of Georgia also offers free support through the Georgia Tobacco Quit Line by texting READY to 34191.

LFO is thrilled to announce that we will be recognizing one class each week for doing an exemplary job during Warriors Read time. Congratulations to Ms. Waters and her students for their performance.

Wrestling opens the season on Tuesday at home against Coahulla Creek. Home matches are listed in the following graphic, please view the LFO Athletic website for the full schedule.

LFO Basketball started last weekend as the boys hosted Pickens. The girls will open up against Lamar County at the Sandy's Spiel Tip-Off Classic on Saturday 11/18. Full schedules are available on LFO's Athletic website.

Exemptions for finals will be based on unexcused absences and grades in each course. Since exemptions will be based on unexcused absences, it is important to send notes to excuse absences. Notes should be turned in to the attendance clerk, Judy Blevins, within three days of the absence.

Students may be exempt from finals if:

3 unexcused absences with an A in the course

2 unexcused absences with a B in the course

1 unexcused absence with a C in the course

0 unexcused absences with a D in the course
