School Preference Letters
CPS mails home preference letters each spring for fourth grade families to indicate their preference regarding where their student is placed for fifth grade. Student placements are based on program needs, siblings, available space and order of return date. Every effort will be made to assign your child to your preferred school; however, CPS does not guarantee you will receive your first preference.
CPS looks forward to collaborating with its soon-to-be fifth grade families about the transition to middle school. If you have any questions about the information session on April 12, please contact your child’s school. If you have any questions about the selection process, please contact the Parent Information Center at 617-466-5508.
