Did you know...?
Our tardy policy
Parents who arrive at the drop-off points at or after 7:30 a.m. should drive to the front of the school, park and walk their student into the building. This is the policy.
Breakfast
Instruction begins at 7:30 a.m. Therefore, if a student arrives at or after 7:25 a.m., and get breakfast, they will miss out on instructional time. Our students need every minute.
Issues with behavior/academics, etc.
Please give our staff a chance to work with you. We desire true partnership because as we say, "All in. All win."
Attendance
For the second six weeks, we are averaging 96% attendance which is great. Our fourth graders hold the highest average attendance rate for the grading period at 98%. Our students continue to show up each day, but we are still seeing an issue in the number of tardies and early checkouts each day. We thank you for getting our students to school, but ask that you PLEASE help us to have them at school for the entire time.
Students are rewarded each six weeks for having good attendance, but receive a special brag tag for outstanding attendance, meaning no absences, early checkouts or tardies.
Your Role:
- Have students in class for the entirety of the school day.
- Review the student handbook regarding attendance policies.
- Send a written notice of absence upon the student’s return to school.
- Understand that a note does not necessarily mean the absence will be excused.
What to Wear
These are NOT free dress days.
Your role:
- Review the district dress code.
- Ensure that student attire adheres to the dress code.
