Mother's Day Breakfast
What a wonderful turn out we had last Friday morning for the Mother's Day breakfast. There was a fantastic vibe and it was great to see families sharing a meal together in the undercover area.
I would like to thank the P&F for organising this community event as I know a great deal of time and effort went on behind the scenes. I would also like to thank our dad volunteers who started the day at 6am to make sure everything was ready for a 7.30am start.
Days like these show what a great community we have here at QOA.
Faction Cross Country
Well done to all the students in Years 3 to 6 for competing in the Faction Cross Country Carnival last Friday. It was a good day for long distance running and there were some great performances with record runs from Zara (Y6) and Spencer (Yr 4).
Thank you to Mr B and all staff, students and parents who helped on the day. Congratulations to Luemmen Faction on their win.
Littlies Lapathon
Tomorrow, Friday 19th May, the Littlies Lapathon for our Kindy to Year 2 students is being held on the Annexe Oval from 2 to 3pm. Mr Bridgeman does a wonderful job of organising the lapathon and this year will be no exception.
I look forward to seeing our parent community at the lapathon tomorrow afternoon.
Year 4 Assembly
Tomorrow morning at 8.50am in the hall, Mrs Joiner and the Year 4 class will be presenting their assembly item to our community. It promises to be a lot of fun and I can't wait to see what they come up with. I look forward to seeing our Year 4 parents, grandparents and friends tomorrow morning!
Confirmation
Confirmation will take place on Sunday 28th May at a special 10.30am Mass in the church. Confirmation is one of the Initiation Sacraments of the Catholic Church and helps the candidates to be united more firmly with Christ.
Please keep our Year 6 candidates in your prayers during this time.

Jeanette is thoughtful and makes good choices. Congratulations, Jeanette, our latest Year 6 MJR star!
Free RATS!
Last year, when COVID was prevalent in the community, CEWA and the WA government provided schools with cartons of Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) to distribute free of charge to families.
Whilst many families did collect their allocation of tests, we still have many boxes left which will be expiring this year.
Although reporting is no longer required, COVID is still circulating and we have had a number of cases reported to us by school families. Therefore, RAT testing is still relevant and encouraged.
If you would like a box of RATs for your family, please collect them from the school office.
