We will NOT be having a typical PAC meeting this month. Instead we need to form our committee and vote on our board. I have sent out emails home to Title 6 families to see who wants and can commit to being a committee member for the remainder of the school year and into next year.

Next PAC meeting for everyone will be January 17, 2024.

CCP Steering Committee Showcase:

- Gain insights into the progress made over the past decade and learn about our plans for the future. The CCP Steering Committee will present a comprehensive overview of where we are now and the exciting paths we intend to explore.

CCP Shuttle System Tour:

- Embark on a tour of selected CCP programs accessible districtwide through our HSD CCP Shuttle system. Witness firsthand the impact of these programs on our students and explore the diverse opportunities available.

Interactive Session and Networking:

- Engage in discussions, share your thoughts, and provide valuable feedback. This is an excellent opportunity to network with fellow advocates and collaborators who share a passion for enhancing career and college pathways.

Who? Students ages 15-20

When? January 2024 through June 2024; 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month

What? Virtual meetings to network and collaborate with civically engaged youth from the Pacific Northwest.

Applications due by December 11th.

We would like to welcome senior students (12th graders) who have an interest in a career in education to get the opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school. Presenting ED200 Foundations of Education College course brought to HSD student by Willamette Promise, Western Oregon University and The Diverse/Bilingual Educator Pathway Program at HSD.

This is an introductory course that is designed to help students explore teaching concepts and practices in education. Our expectations for students who are not in our program, would meet with us at least once a week to discuss the assignments and how they are doing juggling a college course and their regular schoolwork.

It is a $30 fee for the course - if students are on free reduced lunch, there is a wavier we can help them fill out.
