Carver Family Newsletter
November 3, 2022
From the Principal's Office
Please make sure that your scholar is dressed for the weather at school. Layers are always a great idea. Students may wear long sleeved shirts under their uniform shirt, as well as a sweatshirt over their uniform shirt if necessary.
We are asking students to not wear hoods or hats in our building, however.
We are excited to offer our Carver Scholarshirts to students today! Every student will receive a Scholarshirt free of charge. The shirts are goldenrod with navy blue letters.
Also, we are excited to offer pre-sales of our hooded sweatshirt. The sweatshirt will be royal blue with yellow letters in the same design as the tee-shirt.
Pre-orders will be accepted from today through November 14, 2022. Cash or money order only. Delivery is expected during the first or second week of December. Please find order forms in your child's backpack this week.
Pre-Order Your Carver Hoodie
Hooded sweatshirts make GREAT gifts, too!
Parent-Teacher-Student Conference Week
School will end at 1:40 pm each day, and our Beacon program will be open until 5:30pm.
Conferences will begin at 2:00pm each day.
Please make sure that you have signed up for a conference time with your child's educator. We will discuss your student's current progress, their year-long goals, and share a take home tool kit with each family.
We are requesting that all families meet in person so that you may receive a paper copy of the report card and attendance summary, as well as the take home kit.
We look forward to seeing you during the week of November 14th.
Take Home Learning Kits
We ask that the kit is stored in a safe place at home. We are also asking for families to invest 30 minutes of time with your scholar every day in these activities.
We know that just 30 minutes of day of home practice can boost your students in-school performance and push students toward their reading and math goals.
Your child's educator can answer specific questions about the toolkit and show you exactly how to practice at home.
