Dear Families:
We hope you are enjoying these extended weeks of summer! It has been a joy to welcome students and families as we open for school tours. We invite all families who are new to Skokie to join us for our upcoming tour and all students and families to join us next Thursday for our Meet and Greet.
Upcoming Dates
Monday, August 28th: Skokie School Tours from 11am-1pm (guided tour at 11am)
Thursday, August 31st: Teacher Meet and Greet (2:15-3:15 pm)
Students can bring school supplies to the Teacher Meet and Greet or on the first day of school
Tuesday, September 5th: First Day of School! (Half-day dismissal at 11:50)
Accessing Student Schedules
Homeroom teacher notification will go live to all families on Thursday, August 24th at 4pm via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Our staff carefully considered the teams and advisories that were formed. Parent and teacher feedback and input was thoroughly reviewed by our team. Please note that specific teacher requests will not be honored. Thank you for trusting our professional judgment as we create meaningful learning experiences for every student.

If you are a new district family, you will receive a specific email from our district office with directions to access the parent portal.

New Staff to Skokie This Year
We are excited to be welcoming several new staff members to Skokie this year! With the addition of a 10th advisory team at Skokie this year, we are excited to have Beth Gylling and Maria Karageorgis joining us from Washburne and Katie Sullivan joining us from Greeley! We are also excited to extend our collaboration with TrueNorth through our TrueNorth supported classroom. Please join us in welcoming our new staff to Skokie!

We believe that one of the most impactful experiences we can offer our students is the opportunity to connect with professionals who are applying concepts and skills in their work or are tackling similar challenges.
