Boosterthon

You should have received an email from Home & School about the Booster Fun Run, which will take place on Monday, October 24th and is our one and only fundraising event of the year. Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 for school supplies, field trips and to strengthen our school community.

There is no pressure to give, but we invite you to help our school by registering your student at mybooster.com starting this Friday, September 30th and sharing with family and friends!

Volunteers

We will be looking for volunteers to help out on School Picture Day on October 14th as well as for Fun Run on October 24th. Please save these dates if you are interested in helping out and keep a lookout for signups coming soon!

Your Home & School Association

Mrs. Regh's classroom has begun their weekly Friday Scientist. Each week a student in her class chooses an experiment. They follow a format for a lab report and review it with the class. The student then performs the experiment, reviews the outcome with the class, and then answers questions. This week, the student made Oobleck!

HHS’s Resource Officer and HPD’s Detective Nick Lampson joined Mrs. Paoletta’s class today to read the story, Mr. Peabody's Apples by Madonna, and discuss his job here in Hudson.

The Hudson Health Department is having a Covid-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday October, 1st from 9-12. There will also be The Latino Health Insurance Program on site to assist families with singing up for health insurance. This is a great opportunity for those without insurance to sign up.

Student/District Handbooks hard copies are given to all Kindergarten students. For everyone else, it is accessible on our school website (https://jlmulready.hudson.k12.ma.us). It is located under the Parents tab, then Important Documents.

When you are dropping off or picking up your child, please pull up as far as you can and as close to each other as you safely can. We want to alleviate any traffic on Cox Street. Please do not block the entrance/exit on Cox Street and the bus entrance/exit. Children should exit and enter cars on the right side of your vehicle. Do not exit your car to help your child. Staff will assist them.

We have three tables of sweatshirts, jackets, lunchboxes and backpacks. Please label your child's belongings. That way we can be sure that the items get back to their owners.

Also, if your child is missing clothing or a backpack or lunchbox, feel free to stop by and check out our tables.

Hats and hoodies are not allowed to be worn during the school day. The exception is that hats can be worn on some spirit days. There are children who are hiding inside of their hoodies in the classrooms.

Cell phones are not allowed to be seen or heard in school. If a child has one, it must be turned off and not seen or heard (kept in backpack). If it is seen or heard, it will be sent to the office and have to be picked-up by a parent. All phone calls from students will go through the office. Cell phones can only be used at CHAPS and the Boys and Girls Club.

No electronics are allowed to be used on the bus.
