Well done!
Eagle Lake Elementary has been acknowledged by the Michigan Department of Education as a Reward School, signifying a significant achievement for both the students and staff at Eagle Lake.
A Reward School, as defined by the state of Michigan’s A-F accountability system, are those that receive the highest grade (an “A”) in either student proficiency, student growth, or on the similar school proficiency comparison. Eagle Lake Elementary received an “A” in the proficiency category, which is a combined rating for student performance on the M-STEP ELA and Math assessments.
The dedicated staff at Eagle Lake Elementary is grateful for the recognition and distinction given them. This award serves as a special confirmation of their diligent efforts, unwavering passion for students, and commitment to all Eddies being successful!

Gymnastics
This week, students continued refining their gymnastics skills, focusing on various weight transfers on mats, including cartwheels, roundoffs, and headstands. The incorporation of practice stations allowed students the opportunity to record and review each other's skill development.
Have a great weekend!

🚍 Transportation 🚍
Dismisal
The EPS Transportation department has a great responsibility for ensuring the safety of children to and from school. Twice a day, our transportation department accomplishes this task for approximately 3,000 students. Last minute changes to a student’s transportation schedule increases the chance that a child may not end up going to the proper/intended location. In addition, the changes add a great deal of responsibility to the transportation department, front office staff, teachers, and drivers. Every change requires individual communication between the transportation department, front office staff, classroom teacher, and child. The communication of the changes results in interruptions to classroom instruction.
When a change is necessary, please call transportation (269-663-2900) and send a written note to your child’s teacher or call the Eagle Lake school office by 2:00 p.m. Changes made after 2:00 p.m. to student dismissal will not be honored.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
