Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we approach the last couple of weeks of Summer. I want to communicate some important information as we prepare for the 22-23 the school year.
Please take a moment to review the planned events for Westview as we prepare to welcome our students, parents, and community members.

6th Grade Camp - Welcome to Westview!
6th Grade camp is just around the corner and we are very excited to meet our future Wildcats on August 2nd, 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. The camp is not mandatory, but we highly encourage attendance as it will be beneficial for your student to help with the transition from elementary school to middle school. The following topics will be covered during orientation:
- 1st day procedures
- Campus map & tour
- Introduction of administrators and counselors
- Dress Code
- Cafeteria protocols
- Get to know you - Ice Breakers
- Hallway expectations
- Bell Schedule
- Goal Setting

Open House: August 12
We will host an Open House the week before school starts from 5:00-7:30 for any and all parents and students that want to come see the school before the year starts. We will have 30 minute information sessions for parents: (1) Managing and Monitoring Grades in MS; (2) The Dynamics of Peer Interactions and the Impact of Social Media; (3) Free and Reduced Lunch Application; Student schedule Pick up. This is also a great time for 7th grade students to submit immunization records (if not already submitted). There will be a different “Meet the Teacher” on September 6th for you to meet your student’s teachers.
Verification for returning students: SY 2022-23
We are requesting that you complete the three forms available online through the Skyward Parent Portal. The three forms are: Student Verification, Student Health, and Chromebook Loan Agreement.
Please access your Skyward Family Access account (www.pfisd.net/Skyward) to complete the forms. Forms should be completed by August 16th.
If you move over the summer, you will need to contact our campus registrar regarding your change of address. If your address change results in an attendance zone change, you will need to complete the online forms for the new campus. An updated proof of residency document must be submitted to the new campus. New online forms will be available once the address is updated in Skyward.
Anyone needing a Skyward Family Access account or with additional questions should contact Skyward support at parentportal@pfisd.net or our campus registrar Ana Puentes (Ana.Puentes@pfisd.net). Please include your name, your student’s name, and your student’s school on the email to the parent portal. Please ensure that you log on using the Parent Portal and not the Student Portal.
Proof of Residency is required for all incoming 6th graders
At least one proof of residency document will be required :
Proof of Residency Documents
- Mortgage statement from the last 30 days.
- Lease from the last 30 days.
- Legal affidavit regarding sublease.
- Legal affidavit from landlord affirming tenancy.
- Section 8 Agreement
- A utility bill or work order dated within the past 30 days:
- Water bill
- Gas bill
- Electric Bill
- Utility Work-Order (for new residents)
We do not accept cell phone, cable and insurance bills. Termination notice are also not accepted.
Proof of residency documents need to be uploaded into Skyward or dropped off at the campus.

Immunizations (7th grade only)
All 7th grade students must have current immunizations on/before the first day of school. We recommend that they are submitted prior to the first day so students have a smooth start to the school year. If you have not already submitted your updated immunization records, they can be sent to the school nurse via email at Weicheng.Fan@pfisd.net or faxed to 512-594-2205 attention nurse. Ms. Fan will be available August 3rd to answer questions.
