Back-to-School Info

Remember that we start school on Wednesday, 8/16. It will be a full day of school. First period starts at 8:35 am, and the doors will open at 7:45 am for students. Only the doors in the Circle Drive (Door 1) and Putnam Lobby (Door 5) will be open.

If your student has Zero Hour, our doors will open at 7:00 am, and they can only enter through Putnam Lobby (Door 5).

Please remind your student to bring their computer (fully charged) and their charger with them every day. We no not have extra chargers to loan out, and teachers do not have additional chargers to give to students.

If your student is entering grade 9 (either from CMS or new to the district), s/he will receive a new device on Monday, 8/21, during their English class. They must return their old device and charger! If they do not, fees will be added to their account for either or both items.

Any student new to the district in 10-12th grade can go the LRC to pick up their device on the first day of school or any day after.

Picture Day for all 9-11 grade students will be on Monday, 8/21. Pictures are taken during PE/Health/Driver's Ed classes. This picture is used for both the yearbook and student ID. If your student does not take it, they will not have a picture for their student ID this year, which is often used for discounts and other reasons outside of school.

Additionally, if a senior would like a retake or to get their picture taken for the first time, s/he can have their picture take on this day as well.

The research is incredibly clear: the more a student is at school, the greater success they have during and after high school. In fact, students who miss 10 days by December are more likely to fail at least one class! That doesn't help anyone achieve their post-secondary goals.

Are you taking full advantage of the PowerSchool Parent Portal? With access to the portal, you can see your student's grades, attendance, schedule, fees, and more. There are lots of moving parts to a high school, and sometimes the smallest of questions can be the hardest to figure out. If your student is new to Woodstock High School, hopefully this list of FAQs answers some of those easy yet important questions. This list is not all-encompassing, so let us know what else we can help with!

If you did not pay your school fees when you registered, please do so as soon as possible. You can go to our eFunds page to make a payment (service fee applies) or drop off a check/cash at our Main Office. The eFunds payment page can be found under the "Quick Links" on the right side of the WHS homepage.

Remember the following:

• You do not have to pay all fees at once if you are unable to. You can select fees to pay that fit your budget and pay them over the course a few months.
• If you believe you qualify for a reduced or free waiver, please contact the WHS Main Office or District Office for the appropriate forms.

Yes! Our yearbooks from last year are in. Please note the following and pass the word along to your student if s/he ordered a yearbook last year.

For Class of 2023 graduates, yearbooks are available in the Main Office for pick-up at any time. Our office hours are 7:30-4:00 pm.

For any returning Blue Streak who ordered a yearbook last year, yearbooks will be distributed during lunch periods on 8/17 and 8/18.

Nothing is more spirited or fun than a Woodstock High School Homecoming! Our Blue Streaks get to rally, have fun, and cheer on all of our sports teams. While much greater detail will come out as we get closer to Homecoming Week, it might be helpful to know the following:

• Homecoming Week runs Monday, 9/25 - Saturday, 9/30
• Homecoming Football Game--Friday, 9/29
• Homecoming Dance--Saturday, 9/30, at 7 pm
