Important Updates & Reminders from Mrs. Stanczak

Welcome to St. Clare Catholic Parish & School!
Here is an overview about how to stay "in the know" about all things related to our School!
Welcome to the 2023-2024 academic year for St. Clare School. As your Principal, I am excited to share this year with each of you and your families. The Parish community is welcoming and offers a variety of engaging faith activities for all ages; including our Catholic School grades 3K-8th.
This newsletter will be shared every week, on Friday afternoons from late-August through June. Please email me at KStanczak@stclareagw.org if you have any questions, concerns, or would like to include special reminders for our school families.
Additionally, please watch for more communication form your child/ren's teachers, also shared in a weekly email format. Furthermore, we will be showcasing the school through monthly bulletin updates. Please encourage your fellow Parishioners and family members to subscribe to this newsletter or watch the bulletin for more details.

Mrs. S, why are we starting on a Friday?
First Day of School = Friday, September 1, 2023
Dear St. Clare Families,
The most frequently asked question at our Open House and in the past few weeks was... "Why are we starting on Friday of Labor Day Weekend?"
While I respect and appreciate the final moments of summer before our Back-to-School routines begin, I want to take a moment to address your concerns. As of July 1, 2023 the Wrightstown Community School District welcomed their new Superintendent and at some point during the summer transitions, the academic calendar for the school district also changed. They previously had posted a start date of Friday, September 1st and then changed it to Tuesday, September 5th.
Along with the School Advisory Board, I recommended keeping the start date as Friday, September 1st for 2 critical reasons:
1. We would not lose any teacher in-service time during our year of accreditation review.
2. We would NOT need to push our last day of school back any further into June.
*Additionally, please know that the calendar for next year will see Labor Day fall on Monday, September 2, 2024; so we will not have this same concern as of next fall.
If you have any further questions or concerns about this, please let me know.
