Let's Talk TPS
District Communication - March 8, 2022
TPS Families -
As the situation on the world stage continues to evolve and escalate, we continue to offer our support to anyone affected by this situation, either directly or indirectly. If your student is expressing worry or concern, please speak with your school's guidance counselor so that we may assist your student in school. Also, take advantage of the articles on how to speak with your students, the Anxiety resources page, and the Mental Health resources on the Parent Resources page of our website.
The move to masks optional in our schools has been very smooth. Students and staff remain encouraged to make the decision that is best for them and our entire community is reminded to be accepting of each person’s individual decision.
I would be remiss if I did not send a big shoutout to so many of our winter sports teams, particularly our boys basketball team and swim team! What a great season for Tenafly sports! You made us Tiger proud! Additional individual student achievements in diving, swimming, and academics are highlighted below and of course, on our social media. Please be sure to follow us, share in the good news, and congratulate our incredible students!
Yours in Education,
Shauna C. DeMarco
Superintendent Tenafly Public Schools
