Peer tutoring is available on Wednesdays in the Learning Commons after school! Math peer tutors will be available from 2:30-3:30. You can get support for math homework- bring your questions or assignments to work on with a peer tutor and/or small group.

It’s AP Test Treat Time! Order a treat for your student to enjoy after completion of their AP tests. Search for "AP Testing Treats" on MyPaymentsPlus, complete the information for each student and pay before May 4th at noon.

Taylor Swift Tickets

Did you miss out on getting tickets for the concert of the year – the Taylor Swift Eras tour?! Well, here’s your chance to redeem yourself! We have two tickets to Taylor’s concert on Friday, June 23rd at 6:30pm at US Bank Stadium. That’s right – get ready to sing and dance the night away as Taylor performs 44 songs from the past decade! The winner of this raffle will win 2 tickets in Section V9 (GREAT seats - check out the seating chart!) Once the winner is verified, tickets will be digitally transferred to the winner via the Ticketmaster app. We kindly ask that the winner does not resell tickets on a secondary market. Tickets for the Taylor Swift raffle are $20 each.

Who doesn’t want some cold, hard cash? Buy a chance to win the 50/50 raffle, where the winner takes home half of the jackpot. Tickets for the 50/50 raffle are $10 each. The current jackpot is over $650!

For both raffles – Tickets will be sold in the main office during school hours, and at every BRAVO! performance (before the show and during intermission) and will close at 2:00PM on Sunday, April 30th. Winner will be drawn after intermission at the Sunday, April 30th show. You must be 18 years or older to purchase a raffle ticket. Cash or check only. Prize value constitutes taxable income. Winner is responsible for all applicable taxes. Winner does not have to be present.

Test scores from the April 4th in-school ACT are now available for students to view in their MyACT account. If a student has an MyACT account and are still unable to access their scores, they will need to contact ACT directly to resolve the issue. Click HERE to contact ACT.

If a student did not create a MyACT account, their scores will be mailed to them directly in the coming weeks.

The next ACT National Test Date is Saturday, June 10th. The registration deadline is Friday, May 5th. Register at: www.actstudent.org.

May 1 is the deadline for seniors to make their college decisions and finalize it by sending in their enrollment deposit. This will lock in their spot at the college or university they have chosen.

All seniors are required to complete the ‘EVHS Class of 2023 Future Plans Survey’ in Naviance by 3:00 PM on Monday, May 15th. The survey is important as it will be used for awards/graduation recognition and reporting your plans for next year. The completed survey is part of earning their Senior Opportunities.

UPCOMING COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY VISITS

Students should stop by the Counseling Office and get a pass to attend the college/university/military Rep Visit prior to the right visit. These university/college or military visits are small group meetings typically lasting 20/30 minutes. These admission reps are often times the same people that review college applications, so it's a great connection for students.

There are no college/military rep visits scheduled for next week.

We are looking for incoming 8th -12th graders to tryout for our fun and exciting Varsity Competition Cheer Team at Eastview High School. We are looking for both male and female participants.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. You will be surprised on what you can do. So, come out and give it a try.

Attention families of Seniors planning to compete in collegiate athletics:

As of 2019, the NCAA process now allows signings for most sports on almost any day of the year. As a result of the greatly expanded dates as well as wanting to celebrate all of our college participants we will hold one large-scale signing opportunity on the evening of May 21st at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Gym that recognizes all of our athletes who will be continuing on to compete in athletics at the collegiate level regardless of division or receipt of athletic aid. In the past we only recognized official NLI signings which excluded many of our athletes competing at the Division III level and this allows us to celebrate all of our Senior Athletes in one ceremony. Individual athletes and/or their Eastview team are encouraged to celebrate all collegiate signings in their own ways, but we will hold our school-wide signing ceremony at our Spring Senior Athlete Celebration in May along with our all-school athletic department award winners. Please let us know in the Athletic Office if you need assistance with any paperwork etc.

Boys Golf Announcement

The Eastview Boys golf team made history yesterday at the Eastridge Invitational at Stoneridge Golf Club firing a school record 6 under par 282. The lowest round in the 26 year history of the program was highlighted by medalist and senior captain Joe Rohlwing’s stellar 67 including 2 eagles on his card! Senior Captain Tyler Wanous tied his career best with a 69 while senior Captain Jack Hanson carded a career low 70 including an eagle on his last hole to close out the 1 shot victory over Edina. Senior Tyler Cords came in clutch with a solid 76 to round out the scoring. Senior John Kisch and junior Jordan Brothers also contributed to this historic day for the Lightning.

The Panthers scored early, but the Lightning had an answer. Eastview out hit Lakeville North 11 hits to 8. Braaten lead the Lightning with 3 hits. Joyner, Kuhn, and Jacobson each recorded 2.

District 196 Moving Forward with May 9 Bond Referendum Election: Two-Question Special Election Addresses District’s Facilities and Equipment Needs

District 196 School Board on Monday unanimously approved a resolution calling for a two-question bond referendum election on May 9, 2023, to address the district’s facilities and equipment needs for the next 10 years and beyond.

That was the recommendation of the administration and members of a Facilities and Equipment Steering Committee that conducted a comprehensive review of the district’s facilities and equipment needs over the last year and a half. The committee developed a facilities master plan and recommended the first phase of improvements to address needs in the areas of safety, security and supervision; space for growth, and providing students and families a more consistent experience in facilities across the district.

The proposed improvements were presented as preliminary recommendations at the Nov. 14 School Board meeting. They were then presented for public input during three nights of focus group dialogues in November, and online via a form on the district website. Learn more.
