Thank you so much to everyone who has offered help for the early stages of the Whale Run preparations. Madeline Lloyd is working through the registrations and making contact with the participant registrations so far, thank you Madeline.
Tania Ross is helping with updating the website and promotions on social media. If this is an area of interest or expertise another person supporting in this role would be great.
Tania and Alicia are working on timers, finishing shoots and course markers.
Cara Parsons is organising the marshalling stations and other people to support this would be great.
We also need to re establish a the Home and School committee. This is the schools parent teacher association, this group coordinate food stalls for the day.
Hali Wade is helping gather all the equipment we have at school for Whale Run and assess what we need.
Jodie Hoggard is coordinating road closures and planning, waste management, portaloos and other logistics.
I have had a few other parents contact me to let me know you are happy to help. If you wish to help with the above mentioned jobs please either contact the people assigned to these roles or contact myself.
There are a number of small jobs that need to be done, rechecking with sponsors who have offered to sponsor us for 2020 and 2021. Due to the event being postponed both years it is pertinent that we reconnect with them. Collecting sponsorship as well. We offer advertising for this through social media and the website.
The new courses, 21km, 12km, 5km are mapped out there needs to be follow up on the location and number of course markings and marshalling points.
This Wednesday 29th June there will be a Whale Run meeting at school at 4pm. I hope to see you there.
