BVSD EMERGENCY ALERT TEST
BVSD Emergency Alert Test: Wed, Oct 18
During the late start period (8:00 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time) BVSD will operate a test of its emergency alert system. All BVSD parents and staff will receive a test alert via SchoolMessenger that will include a phone call, text message, and email. The message will only be a test, no response is required. Users can then adjust their communication preferences as desired via these instructions.
Parents, students and staff should ensure they are opted in to receive text messages from the district and schools through SchoolMessenger. Opting-in is a two-step process:
- The person's cell phone number must be in a cell phone field in Infinite Campus or Infor/Lawson.
- They then send a text message from their cell phone to “67587” with the word “yes” in the message. They may opt-out at any time by texting “STOP” to 67587.
NEW BVSD EMERGENCY INFORMATION WEB PAGE
Before the start of the 2023-24 school year, BVSD’s Communications department worked on improving crisis communication protocols by transforming their Standard Response Protocol (SRP) alert messaging procedures into a more concise and swift process.
A new emergency information web page was created to support this effort, which will be used during emergencies to relay crisis information in real time.

Yearbook Name Change Requests
For the portrait pages of the yearbook, our staff uses names provided to us by the school, which are pulled from Infinite Campus. If a student uses a different name than currently appears in IC that they want to appear in the yearbook, please complete this form. This form should not be filled out by people who go by a nickname ("Tommy" instead of Thomas) or by people who go by a shorter version of their legal name ("Ben" instead of Benjamin). Because of printing deadlines, name change requests cannot be accommodated if you do not complete this form by Nov. 1.

PORTRAITS FOR ALL
“Portraits for All” believes that every high school senior deserves to have a high-quality senior portrait that they are proud of. We connect students who aren't in a financial position to pay for a portrait session with professional photographers in their area who are willing to donate their time and talent. Any rising high school senior in the Boulder/Denver metro area who qualifies for free or reduced lunch or can demonstrate financial need through another avenue (such as referral by a high school liaison) is eligible to request a session. We will do our best to match you with a photographer if one is available near you.
