Principal's Message
Greetings Washington Families,
Welcome to our latest edition of The Washington Weekly! We're eager to kick off this week's update by extending a special invitation to all parents for an evening of fun at Arts and Letters Night on November 16th, happening from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. We're counting on our wonderful parent volunteers to help make this event a success. If you're ready to be part of the magic, please sign up to volunteer using the link below. Your support is instrumental in supporting our school community.
We would like to take a moment to shine the spotlight on our Reflections Contest winners. These remarkable students have showcased their extraordinary gifts in dance, film, literature, music, photography, and the visual arts. Get ready to be amazed by their creative brilliance on display at Arts & Letters Night!
This week, we want to recognize the outstanding efforts of Ms. Schmidt, our Instructional Facilitator and Literacy Coach, and Ms. Heben, our Intervention Team Facilitator. Join us in showing them gratitude on Friday, November 17, as we celebrate Instructional Coach and Intervention Facilitator Appreciation Day.Their dedication to our students' success is truly commendable!
Last but certainly not least, let's give a round of applause to our Teacher of the Year, Mr. Frank Caslin, and our Instructional Assistant of the Year, Ms. JoEllen Bingham. Their commitment to excellence has made a lasting impact on our school, and we're honored to have them as part of our Washington family.
Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement. Together, we make Washington GT Magnet Elementary School a great place to teach and learn!
Let's make it a great week at 1000 Fayetteville Street!
Magically,
Catie Burnette
Principal
