Ranger Report
02/09/24
Hello Ranger Families:
I hope all of you are well and your student is settling into the routine of second semester classes. The high school is constantly using data to reevaluate its programs and practices and I wanted to share a few of those changes with you today.
First, you may have noticed that we removed homeroom and advisory from our bell schedule. This change will add five minutes of instructional time to each of our classes and allow us to maximize the great learning opportunities that we provide for our students.
Students will use digital data trackers that include goals tracking as well as rounding logs with teachers. This new tracker consolidates and organizes this important information and facilitates our students’ metacognition.
Report cards are being sent out today. Please remember, although your student may not be showing proficiency yet in all essential learning standards, the learning never stops at EHS and students have opportunities to develop that proficiency next semester and into future years.
Our National Honor Society is sponsoring after school tutoring sessions to help students achieve proficiency. Next week, tutoring will be available after school in the library on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Lauren Holst - What (or who) inspired you to become a school counselor? "Working with students and families in various capacities as a classroom teacher."
What is your favorite part of your job? "Helping empower students to believe in themselves and their powe3r to grow and succeed."

Student Behavior
Safety is Estacada High School’s first priority. For students to be able to learn, they must first feel safe. At Estacada High School, we implement a robust, consistent, and caring behavior management system designed to help students access their education. From attendance matters to challenges with drugs and alcohol to bullying issues, we are here to support all students. Below, please review our school behavior expectations and the related accountability measures for violating those expectations. To promote clarity and consistency, each week I will highlight one aspect of that system within the Ranger Report. Thank you for your help in partnering with the high school to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Property Misuse/Vandalism - Student misuses, damages , or vandalizes property. Student plans or participates in an activity that results in the destruction of property or purposefully impairs the usefulness of property.
-This will lead to Out-of-School Suspension, student to cover cost of repair/replacement, potential Law Enforcement involvement

Classrooms are Cell Phone Free Zones
Life is full of distractions that keep us from performing our best.
Our expectation is that classrooms are cell phone free zones.
The classroom is a space for learning and engagement in preparation for a student’s next step in life. Join us in fostering this commitment to learning by:
Talking with your student about their cell phone use in school.
Be prepared to set limits and to collaborate with school staff in making learning a priority.
