FJVD Weekly Info
We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
Dear FJVD Families,
It was wonderful to see so many of you at our FJVD Family Parade this afternoon. Though the doors of our school building are temporarily closed, the indelible spirit of this community remains unshaken. I am so grateful for the continued support of our families.
It's been busy week! We celebrated our teachers and thanked them for all that they do, came together (via Facebook) for school Mass, hosted our FJVD Family Parade, and announced the incorporation of music, art, and physical education into our distance learning programs starting next week. For more information on upcoming Specials Days, please read this communication sent to families.
In an effort to regularly assess the needs of our families and students, I have been sending out a distance learning survey for families approximately every two weeks. This week's survey can be found here. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please know that each response is carefully reviewed and considered as we continue to improve our distance learning methods.
Finally, last week applications were made available for the Father John V. Doyle Commemorative Scholarship, which is open to all students currently in the 6th or 7th grade. For more information, click here or visit our website (www.fjvd.org) and see the link under FJVD Info at the bottom of the homepage. All applications are due no later than May 18, 2020. The committee looks forward to reviewing your applications!
Once again, thank you for coming out this afternoon. It was so good to see you!
Have a great weekend everyone. God bless and Go Saints!
Sincerely,
Mr. Peloquin

Upcoming Dates and Reminders
Enrollment Contracts - Due May 15th
In addition, the $200 per student Enrollment Fee due with the contract is being reduced to $100 per student through May 15th.
Please note, the enrollment fee is rolled into tuition and credited directly towards tuition payments. It is not an additional fee. Thus, if you have already submitted your Enrollment Contract and paid the enrollment fee of $200, your overall tuition for 2020-2021 has been credited $200.00. Going forward, those paying the $100.00 reduced enrollment fee will have their tuition for 2020-2021 credited only $100.00.
With current social distancing efforts in place, we kindly request that you mail enrollment contracts to the school with payment, or, if preferred, scan the contract and email to patriciajarvis@fjvd.org and mail your payment separately.

Aluminum Can Tab Collection
What: Aluminum can tabs are being collected
Why: To support the Ronald McDonald House in Providence
How can you help? Save can tabs and send them in to Mr. Godin’s room.
Bottle Cap Drive
We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This provides new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply send in bottle caps or product codes from boxes of beverages and our school receives a donation.
All caps and codes should be sent to Mr. Godin. Codes will be entered on one account to gain larger and quicker donations.
Thank you!
