Center Community Chat
DECEMBER 28, 2023
Dear Center Community,
It was a fun filled, action packed week at Center. Teachers were creative and incorporated winter- themed activities and teaching students about holidays and traditions around the world. I learned several new facts. For example, did you know in the Netherlands, they put a carrot in a wooden shoe to welcome "Santis"? Get a glimpse of all the fun happenings below. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped teachers make these celebrations happen.
We had our first all school assembly since 2019 on Wednesday! We plan to have more school assemblies during the year and wanted to review and practice assembly expectations. The Center community was treated to some lovely songs by our 4th grade students. All students showed their PRIDE.
And, speaking of showing their PRIDE, students earned a whole school BINGO game for keeping bathrooms clean, stall doors unlocked, and adhering to the expectations of "Go, Flush, Wash, and Leave." Mr. L'Abbes class celebrated several wins.

The math interventionist position will be posted next week.
Please welcome Angela Pardo in her new role at Center as well. Ms. Pardo has been a volunteer in the library for years and has most recently been volunteering in a kindergarten and 1st grade class. She has joined our paraeducator team.
