Army Trail Update

The State of Illinois is approved to provide new Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer Program (P-EBT) benefits to all eligible Illinois students. Families in our district may qualify for P-EBT because we are a school that participates in the National School Lunch Program’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). You do not need to complete an application to receive these benefits. Please note that citizenship status does not affect eligibility.

Our students are required to take federally mandated assessments every spring. ACCESS for Ells is an assessment that determines levels of English Proficiency in the areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. You are receiving this letter because your child is required to take the ACCESS for Ells 2.0. This includes any student who has refused services or has been withdrawn from services by a parent/guardian.

If you have questions about the ACCESS for Ells assessment, please click the button below or reach out to your child's teacher or school principal. Thank you for your partnership in your child's academic success.

Starting on Monday, March 1, in-person students must attend school during their designated AM/PM session. If they do not attend in-person during their designated time, students will be marked absent. Remote learning during their designated time is only available for students who are quarantined or experiencing COVID symptoms.

Your participation in the parent portion of the survey will help us understand your child’s school conditions and guide improvement. Your identity and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child.

The Illinois 5Essentials Survey for students and teachers will be conducted from February 3, 2021, through April 2, 2021. The Parent Survey Supplement will be conducted during that same timeframe. To take the survey, click the link below.

WHEN WILL FOOD BE DISTRIBUTED?

• Food will be provided from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each Wednesday
• Seven days worth of meals will be distributed (five breakfasts and five lunches)
• Menus will be posted on the district website each month
