The story, The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, celebrates creativity, courage, and confidence. After listening to the book, 1st grade students created dot illustrations in Art class with Ms. Noone.

Our 2nd grade students brainstormed a list of places where people work, play, and solve problems together. Then, they created neighborhood maps!

It's time to pay the technology fee. Log into My Payments Plus to pay your child's $10 Central Bucks School District 1:1 Laptop Agreement fee.

If your family cannot afford the fee, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Carter and she will make alternative arrangements for your family. Any family, that chooses not to pay the fee will have a device available for day time, school-use only. The laptop or iPad will no longer be permitted to go home with the student.

Our 6th Grade Club Event will take place on Friday, September 24th from 3:15-5:00PM. (Postponed from last week due to rain.)

If you cannot attend this Friday and would like a refund from your original registration, please email our 6th Grade Club email address, Gayman6thGradeClub@gmail.com.

If you were unable to attend the original date but now can attend the new date, please send your form and payment in by Wednesday, September 22nd.

It is that time of year again, when our Gayman Home and School Association is looking for volunteers!

School districts throughout the region are having a challenging time getting food deliveries right now and CBSD is no exception. Some items are in short supply, such as pizza or chicken, while other orders include substituted items. While the menu is subject to change, please know that students will always have free breakfast and lunch available.

The Food and Nutrition Service extended the program that provides free meals for all students, regardless of income for the 2021-2022 school year.

Students are entitled to ONE reimbursable breakfast and ONE reimbursable lunch per day. If a child is interested in receiving a second entrée, then the student's lunch account will be charged.

Families may want to put money in their child's account through MySchoolBucks.com as there will be no cash transactions this year in an effort to serve the students as safely and swiftly as possible.

Parents and guardians are able to submit an absence request via the Parent Portal. When a student is absent from school, but the school did not receive communication from the parent or guardian, a text message and email will be sent.

Information regarding how to use the Parent Portal to report an absence can be found here.

The Central Bucks School District and NAMI Bucks County PA are pleased to partner together to offer this program to our community. The event is open to students, adults, and families, and free childcare will be provided for all or a portion of the event as needed. Any Central Bucks family who may need a little extra food assistance is welcome to join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month at Barclay Elementary School. Our drive-up food distributions run from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. We generally have free dry goods, fresh produce, milk, eggs, and bread, and often have some frozen meat and poultry. By our estimates, 1,500 CB children may experience temporary or chronic food insecurity—a statistic which should not exist in a community with our resources.

Our completely volunteer-run and managed organization was founded on two beliefs: 1) During times of need, which we all experience in one form or another, we should be able to count on the compassion and support of our neighbors; and 2) Our community’s collective commitment to our children is a bond much stronger than all of the other forces that might otherwise divide us.

Welcome back to school! This year the GHSA has decided to follow the lead of other schools in the district and implement annual Family Dues to help supplement the cost of all the amazing experiences the Home and School Association helps bring to Gayman Elementary. All of which directly benefit our children. The additional funds are necessary to maintain our current school events and programs.

We are suggesting $25 per child as 2021-2022 annual dues.

GHSA is thrilled to offer payment through VENMO. To submit your venmo payment: @Gayman-HomeandSchool please reference your child’s Last Name and 2021-2022 Family Dues.
