Note from Dr. Mullenschlader
During the Month of October we are focusing on the practice of the virtue of generosity. We often times equate generosity to material goods, like sharing toys or sharing food. But, God shared His son with us. That is the most generous gift I can think of. I pray that I was we learn more about how we can be generous that we will not be afraid so share God's son with others. Pretty simple, but what an incredible witness of generosity we can be for our children by sharing our love of Jesus with others.
October 27th, we are going to have safety training by the St. Charles Police Department for our staff. As previously communicated, we will have a noon dismissal on that day to accommodate the training. As we continue to strengthen our school's safety practices and protocols, educating our staff is essential. Building a safer environment allows us better opportunities to live our mission. These trainings, while not every year, are a priority and are a compliment to the security upgrades and updates that we have been making. We are grateful for your understanding of the schedule change. To offset this change, we will make sure to have Aftercare available on that day. The children will be in the gymnasium and in the preschool area. Pickup will be at the preschool entrance or the old BASK entrance and exit.
Have a blessed weekend!

Virtue of the Month - Generosity
Generosity is giving of oneself in a willing and cheerful manner for the good of others
Brief Biography of St. Giuseppe Moscati - Giuseppe Moscati was an Italian doctor who lived in the early 1900s. He worked hard to get to know his patients personally and bring them the sacraments. He would often treat poor patients without charging them and in addition secretly give them money. Leaving behind the witness of the gospel was important to him and he trained young doctors to carry on the mission. St. Giuseppe Moscati - pray for us.
adapted from the Disciples of Christ: Education in Virtue
Here is a prayer for the children to say at home: Dear Jesus, Let me share myself with others as You share Your life with me.
Scriptures to read on Generosity: Matthew 25:34-40, Luke 1:38, Luke 6:30-31, Luke 6:36
