The Week of May 23rd
Thank you!
It was such a pleasure to attend the Second Step culmination lessons in Rooms 11, 12, 7, and 8. Mrs. Kolb presented the children with special certificates after they each had a chance to share what they learned throughout the year. I was so happy to hear that our children have gained a true understanding of what empathy is, and why it is important to think of others.
We had a very productive SIT Meeting on Thursday afternoon, and I'm pleased to welcome Ms. Jennifer Cappricotta and Mr. Paul Bender to our team! Below is the slide show presentation and also notes taken by Mrs. Lucca.
I noticed...
Grade 3 had DEAR time in the fresh air and sunshine!
Lots of letters for our Veterans!
Truly Wonderful Second Step Presentations!
Mr. Cameron Rambone was a fabulous principal on Wednesday!
Such a special act of kindness!
Amazing progress on the roller coaster STEM challenge in Mr. Torres’ Room!
PreK 1 Had a beautiful field trip to Mystic Aquarium!
I'm looking forward to...
Mr. Jordan Conca will be our new physical education and health teacher on Tuesday!

Kindergarten Orientation/ Move Up Day
I am so excited that we will be welcoming our incoming students into our school on June 2nd at 10:00am. This will be posted on our website and has been shared on our social media and on our DOJO account. I have also mailed invitations to all children currently registered for kindergarten at Greystone.
They will later be invited to a "Cupcakes in Kindergarten" celebration once classroom placements have been formalized.
On this day all students will visit the grade levels they will be moving on to in September. Grade 5 students will assist teachers and students in this process, as assigned by me.
