Welcome:
Letter From The CEO:
You have just a couple days left to bid on items in the annual Friends of the Library Silent Auction! The Friends group raises funds to pay for programs and purchases that the library’s regular budget doesn’t cover, and this is their biggest fundraiser of the year. Come in to view the baskets or view them online. Bidding closes late afternoon on Saturday, December 3, so get those bids in.
Don’t miss out on all the fun this month. Join us for a hot chocolate bar and free books on the 17th during our annual Winter Wonderland Party. Our annual Noon Years Party on the 31st is great for any of the littles in your life who can’t (or shouldn’t) stay up until midnight to celebrate the new year. We celebrate at noon instead just for them.
Adults, we’ve got plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy time with your neighbors this month. Book Club will meet to discuss William Forstchen’s One Second After on the 6th , our monthly Food for Thoughts Breakfast is on the 9th , Crafters Corner will create great things on the 16th , and you can drop in for Knit and Crochet on the 23rd . If you want to get out of your house for a little while, we would love to host you here.
A reminder for all of you—Miss Christy takes a break from Storytime during December. Storytime will meet on Friday, December 2, and then will resume in the new year. If you don’t want to break your routine, come in to play and read and chat with other caregivers. We’ll be happy to see you.
Keep an eye on our closures this month since weekend holidays make things a little wonky. We’ll be closed on Saturday, December 24 and Monday, December 26 for Christmas. We will be open from10:00 to 2:00 only on the 31st . We’ll be closed Monday, January 2, for our New Year’s holiday.
Happy shortest days of the year!
Amie P.
Library CEO
