Reminder about Inclement Weather
From the Family Handbook: When inclement weather makes it necessary to close the school, parents will receive notice via ALMA as well as the St. Catherine School website, KOMO and KING websites and Facebook. The school may also utilize text messages to families regarding closure alerts. Please check for text messages and listen to early broadcasts between the hours of 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM, always looking specifically for St. Catherine School. Please do not send students to school until it is confirmed that the school is open. Extended Care is closed when the school is closed; all extra-curricular programs will be canceled. When possible, a later opening will be announced. A Late Start means that school will open at 10:30 a.m. There will be no a.m. extended care (including Preschool) on late start days.
If the weather turns hazardous during the school day, parents will be notified and are expected to pick up their children as soon as possible. All missed instructional time lost due to inclement weather and school cancellation will be made up at the discretion of the principal.
Classes may be canceled due to special circumstances beyond inclement weather (e.g. severe illness outbreak, mechanical problems, etc.). State approval for independent schools requires operation of the educational program for a minimum of 180 days or 1000 instructional hours. The St. Catherine School calendar will reflect these guidelines.
Yearbook Photos Needed
Attention Parents! The Yearbook staff needs your help. Please send any pictures you take throughout the school year to yearbook@stcatherineschool.net to be included in the yearbook. This year, we are excited to include a Summer Adventures page! Please send us pictures of your student or family during the summer of 2023. As always, we need your help documenting out of school events like CYO Sports, Harvest Festival, and eventually things like Ski Bus and the Christmas Program. Thank you for your help!
Pizza Lunch
Hello StCs Parents! It’s time to support Parent Club and sign up for Pizza for the second half of the year!
We will be offering large size pizza slices from Zeek's Pizza in pepperoni or cheese for $3 a slice on Tuesdays. This sign up is for the SECOND half of the year (17 weeks) and will start on Tuesday, January 30th. Please have your orders in by Friday, January 19th. A friendly reminder that your child may need some sides to go along with their pizza - we don’t want any hungry kidos.
Looking forward to continue to being your pizza lady for the rest of this year! Email me if you have any questions: PriscillaFellows@gmail.com

Mission & Philosophy
St. Catherine of Siena Parish School is a welcoming, Christ-centered community, rooted in the Catholic faith and inspired by Gospel values. As an extension of the parish and with Jesus as our model, we are dedicated to lifelong growth in faith, love, and learning.
We recognize that the care and education of the child begins with the family and that parents are the primary educators of their children. In partnership with parents, we work to promote our students’ achievement and spiritual growth. Together we are committed to developing responsible, ethical leaders who think critically, act justly, communicate effectively, and serve willingly.
Vision
We are committed to providing a faith-filled, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment for all our students. Through our rigorous academic programs, our students will gain the cognitive, technological, and social skills necessary to become ethical, innovative leaders who successfully navigate the complex challenges of today’s world.
