Hello Falcon Family!

We had a great week at Sullivan! SMS hosted the first ALL GIRLS wrestling match vs. York! So phenomenal! In addition, we now have link to view our Principal Scholars and our Honor Roll students. Way to go, Falcons, on leading the way for others. We are so proud of you.

Next week, we will have our girls basketball play on Monday, and we will have a wrestling match, as well in the gym after school on Tuesday. The 8th grade will take a trip to the ATC to check out all of the programs that they have to offer next year. The Academic Challenge team will battle Forest Creek (away), and SMS will host Academic Night on Wednesday in the cafe (changed from the gym due to athletics.) More information is in the flyer below. We look forward to having you visit on Wednesday!

Please keep in mind that Winter MAP testing is the following week. Please talk to your child about the importance of doing his/her best on this test as it is used by teachers and the district to measure individual academic growth through the year. Tutoring starts back this week, so if your student needs assistance, please attend tutoring Tuesday through Thursday. Sign up is not necessary.

Last, but not least, please don't forget to purchase your yearbook today! Prices are currently $33, and you can purchase them online. Order now, before the price increases! This year's book will be outstanding.

IMPORTANT! Are you excited about high school next year? Do you want to know more about what it will be like as a freshman Trojan, Bearcat, or Stallion? Please attend this year’s Rising Ninth Grade Orientation January 31, 2024, beginning at 6 p.m. Parents and rising ninth graders are welcome to attend the high school orientation for your zoned school. High schools will be sharing information about schedules, expectations for freshman, clubs and activities, athletics, and more! No tickets are needed – just come ready to meet the staff that will help make your freshman year a success!

Sullivan Middle School Wrestling hosted the first ever all girls middle school wrestling match vs York Middle school Wednesday night. Congratulations to both teams on this historic event. And congratulations to the Sullivan girls on the win 33 to 15 ! We are proud of Coach Robinson, Floyd, Beck , Alcala and ADs Walker and Huechtker for organizing this match

The School of Choice window is open for DLI students. 8th graders who wish to attend Rock Hill High for the Dual Language Immersion program in high school should submit their request. Information can be found on the School of Choice website HERE, and the link for the intent form is found HERE. The deadline for the Intent Form is February 23.
