New Albany Primary School

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Veterans Day celebration a success! It was a day filled with kindness and respect as we shared songs and poems with our honored guests. A special thank you goes to our student ambassadors, who greeted veterans and spoke during the assembly.

As a reminder, school is in session only on Monday and Tuesday this week. We wish you a relaxing Thanksgiving week spending time with family and friends!

We will celebrate tomorrow with fall classroom parties on Tuesday, November 21. Thank you to all the families who have donated party supplies and are volunteering!

As a reminder, students should not be bringing balls from home to use on the playground during recess times. We have designated equipment available for all grades during lunch and second recess.

If you know ahead of time that your child will be absent from school, please submit a Planned Absence Form one week in advance. Thank you!

Lost and Found season is here in full force! The days are getting cooler and students are dressing in layers. If your child has a tendency to leave any personal belongings behind, please write their name on the tag of their outerwear, and remind them to look for their missing item in our Lost and Found! If your child packs his/her lunch or carries a water bottle, please also remind them to collect their items from the playground before heading into the building and/or check Lost and Found if they have misplaced anything. Parents are welcome to look for lost items when they visit NAPS or contact Sara Peterson at peterson.2@napls.us if you need assistance looking for specific items.

Has your student selected their read-a-thon prizes? If not, make sure they redeem their reward money for prizes via the read-a-thon website by November 29th. Thank you to everyone who generously donated to this effort, we will continue to share the ways these funds impact our school throughout the remainder of the year.

One way the PTO supports in-classroom learning is through grants to teachers to select needed items for their classrooms. This past weekend, teachers and staff were able to use their grant money at Lakeshore Learning!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Parent Mixer & Dads of New Albany re-launch! It was a great to see so many people come out to meet other primary parents. Thanks to Just Write for providing a spirit wear pop-up shop at the event.
