August 2023

We have had an amazing start to the 23-24 school year. We are excited to see a lot of returning faces as well as several new faces to our MMS family. I want to take an opportunity to remind our returning and new families of some information.

Arrival and Dismissal

When students arrive at school, they should go directly to their supervised locations (gym or cafeteria).

Car-riders may report to school no earlier than 7:20 AM.
Breakfast will be served from 7:20 AM until 7:45AM ∙ Students are dismissed into classrooms at 7:45.
STUDENTS ARE TARDY IF THEY ARE NOT IN THEIR CLASSROOMS AT 8:00 A.M. and must be signed at the office by a parent/guardian.

When students are dismissed after school, they should go directly to the car line or their buses.

Car riders and walkers are dismissed first.
Students are dismissed by buses.
All students should be picked up no later than 3:30 p.m.

Lockers

All students are required to have a locker for Minor Middle School. Students are not allowed to carry bookbags, purses, cell phones, food, etc. to classes; these items must be placed in the locker. If you still need to purchase the Pride Package (this covers lockers and ID badges), please do so as soon as possible.

Here is a copy of the Student Parent Handbook. Please familiarize yourself with the following:

School Bus Transportation
Technology

Please understand that discipline is different from Elementary to Middle school. If you have any questions, please refer to the handbook.

Free Tutoring Services

We are excited to announce our partnership with Filo/GoSchoolBox! For the 2023-24 school year, each of your students will have access to live tutors, 24/7 all day every day via the Filo tile on ClassLink. Filo provides qualified tutors in every subject and multiple languages for students K-12. Think of this as a homework help line; however, they also provide ACT support as well as feedback on writing assignments. It will go live August 21st.

School Spirit Store
