Native American Heritage Month began in 1916, at the hands of Red Fox James, a member of the Blackfeet Nation where he rode on the seat of his horse to 24 states to honor all Native Americans. It progressed in 1976 to Native American Heritage Week, then in 1990 George H.W. Bush approved a resolution proclaiming November as “National American Indian Heritage Month.”

8th - Students return, Quarter 3 begins

9th - New Student Open House 6:00-7:30 p.m.

15th - Martin Luter King Jr. Day (NO SCHOOL)

We need your support! We care very deeply about your student's academic, social, and emotional growth. Personal electronic devices can be a detrimental distraction at school. Please help Norris staff by reinforcing our school expectation: Cell phones and other devices must be off and out of sight.

If you have not already, please sign up for the Parent Portal! This is a great way to find information about your student's grades, attendance, and be able to complete the necessary paper work to begin the school year. If you need assistance, please call the main office.
