- Week of 3/12- 3/16, PARCC Testing Begins for grades 3, 4, & 5.

- 3/21, Wednesday, D44 STEM Parent Night @ GWMS 6:30- 8:30 p.m.

- 3/26- 4/2 SPRING BREAK-- No School

Auditions have taken place for our Starcast Broadcast student leaders to finish off the school year. Stay tuned for more episodes coming soon!
PARCC Testing for Grades 3, 4 and 5
This year the PARCC Assessment window for grade 3, 4, and 5 students falls in March and April. Due to Spring Break falling in the middle of this window, our testing is a bit more spread out than in years past.
Grade 3, 4, and 5 students will completing the English, Language Arts (ELA) subtests prior to Spring Break. Math subtests will be completed after Spring Break.

PARCC Testing will take place in the WHS LRC and involves student in grades 3, 4, and 5 only.
D44 Science Fair
Congratulations to all the students who Participated in the D44 Science Fair. Hammerschmidt had a total of 58 participants this year! Because we know that our students do not complete the projects in isolation, we would like to sincerely thank all of our families who supported participation!
Registration for the Stars and Spikes 5K Run and 1-mile Fun Walk
The registration site for the race is now live. Use the link below to sign up for the race! You will need to fill out a separate form for each participant.
Parent Volunteers are Needed!
If you do not want to run in the race, but still want to participate and be a part of this event, please consider volunteering! Use the link below to sign up to VOLUNTEER!

Sponsoring the Stars and Stripes 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun walk is a great way to reach a wide audience! Business and personal donations will help us to sponsor students and also help to make this event the best it can be! Please see the link below for more information about race sponsorship!

WHS Lost and Found Items
Please take a few minutes to identify any items that may belong to your family! This is also a great time to remind you to please put your child's name on the tag of valuable clothing items. This makes it much easier for us to help return items to the rightful owner.

Pre- Registration for Kdg. is Now Underway!
Our WHS Office is now registering incoming Kdg. students for the 2018-19 School Year. If you have a child that will turn 5 years old by Sept. 1st, 2018, please stop by the WHS office to get the registration process started.
Also, if you have any friends or neighbors living within our boundary who has an incoming Kindergartener for 2018-19, please refer them to our school office. Your support is greatly appreciated!
