Park Falls Elementary Board Report

Please see the attached report entitled, Intruder Drill Written Evaluation. This will satisfy one of required annual submissions to the Department of Justice, Office of School Safety.

The November Safety training and drill is the first of two planned Tornado Drills. This drill focuses primarily on training the students about the tornado safe position and the logistics of the "safe sites" for the classes. Each year the tornado safe sites need to be consided in relation to changing class sizes.

Below is the second "Rox Box" which Darlene Carl made following the guidelines set by the I Love You Guys Foundation to support a student and parent reunification. During a previous reunification drill completed in August of 2022 we discussed adding a second Rox Box to be available at the North Campus. This represents a great deal of work for Darlene and is an excellent addition to the safety preparedness of the District.

Attached are the October Eagle Award Winners from Park Falls Elementary School of the Chequamegon School District. These students distinguished themselves as being "Responsible".

Mrs. Herrmann has a "pair and share" protocol called "Parnter Pyramids." This shows visually when the children have completed the task without having to hear "we are ready" over and over. Teachers are creative people and provide this type of variety to keep things interesting along the way.

This past month many teachers in my building volunteered their weekends and purchased or donated supplies to up scale our lunch room and work area. Fresh paint and contact paper covered the 1974 yellow cabinets to make the rooms feel more inviting. Thank you to all.
