January is School Board Member Appreciation Month! Thank you to our School Board Members for their dedication and service to all of our students and staff in YSD1 and HGSE! We appreciate their hard work and loyalty to ensure the very best is provided to our schools and community! Thank you and Thank you to YSD1 Board of Trustees Members: Beth R Faulkner, Scott Childers, Wade Anderson, David McSwain, Christopher Revels, Betty F Johnson, and Diane Howell.
Spirit Day on Tuesday, 1-23-24! It is hard to believe we have now been in school for 100 days on January 23, 2024! Students may participate by dressing up as you are "100 years old" or wear Bobcat Spirit Wear!

Report cards went home this past Tuesday, January 16, 2024. This is a wonderful opportunity to review progress and grades with your child. If you have questions or concerns, teachers are available to meet in person. Please don't hesitate to contact us to schedule a time to meet. We can certainly conference over the phone, but grades are better discussed in person, if you have concerns. This is also a great time to set new goals and expectations for the second semester at home as we will be having these same types of conversations here at school. We are looking forward to a great second semester filled with progress and success!
YSD1 has partnered with Affinity Health Center! Students and staff are invited to use this new School Based Center located at York Middle School. They are open on Mondays 9:00am-4:00pm for students and staff. If your child is absent, please remember to send in a parent note or doctor's note to cover the absence. Click on the link below for digital access and convenience to submit a parent note to the front office.
