Superintendent's Corner
Bernard F. Bragen, Jr. ** December 2022**
Dear MCPS Community,
It is hard not to simply stop and stare at the beautiful vistas that greet me each morning as I drive to work here in Southwestern Virginia. They are simply unique and awe-inspiring. And yet, they pale in comparison to the true beauty of this community, which is the people who comprise it. I have not met a more genuine and sincere group of individuals than those who have welcomed me to Montgomery County. It is also extremely reassuring to hear the passion that everyone uses when speaking of our school division and the pride associated with being a member of this school community. MCPS is truly an amazing place, and I am humbled and grateful to have the opportunity to lead this division.
As we rapidly approach the winter break, I hope everyone has a great holiday and has an opportunity to spend some quality time with loved ones. During these breaks from the daily grind, we remember the things that truly matter and have meaning in our lives. For me, that begins and ends with family.
Have a great holiday and a happy new year. I cannot wait for all that will unfold for the Montgomery County Public Schools community in the new year.
Sincerely,
Bernard F. Bragen, Jr.
