This week we will celebrate all the hard work of our middle school performing artists. On Wednesday, June 7th, we will have our first ever Middle School Talent Show! The talent show will be after school from 3:30-4:30 in the auditorium. All students are welcome to join and the late bus will be running after the show. Thank you to Ms. Sarah Jane Mason for taking the time to organize this, and thank you to the students who have chosen to perform. On Thursday, June 8th, we will have our annual Spring Concert featuring the middle school chorus and band. The show starts at 7PM in in the Monomoy Regional High School auditorium. You must have a ticket for admission. You can get a ticket at this link or using the QR code. The chorus and band have been working endlessly to prepare for the performance. Thank you to our amazing music teachers for sharing your love of music with the students and with our community!

Step Up Day: Step Up Day will be this Thursday, June 8th. During this time our 7th graders will go to the high school, 6th graders will go to 7th grade, 5th graders to 6th, and we will be meeting our new 5th grade students who will be coming up from the elementary schools. Thanks to everyone for your participation in this Monomoy tradition.

Health Screenings: We will be completing state mandated health screenings for the 7th grade Wychmere Team on 6/6/2023 and 6/9/2023. The 7th grade screenings will consist of height, weight, vision, hearing and postural screenings. Please remember that parents or guardians who would like to opt their child out of any, or all screenings, please email the school health office with their preference. Fall Sport Registration is Open: Middle school fall sports begin Monday September 11th. Meet the Coaches Night is scheduled for Wednesday September 6th at 6:00pm in the MRMS Auditorium. Middle School Fall Sports Offered are Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Field Hockey, Cross Country, Coed Golf.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR CURRENT SIXTH GRADE PARENTS: This is a notification of immunization requirements for students entering 7th grade. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health regulations specify the following Immunizations are required for students entering Seventh Grade:

• 1 dose Tdap vaccine (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis)
• 1 dose Meningococcal (meningitis) vaccine
• 4 doses of Polio, 3 doses of Hepatitis B, 2 doses of MMR, and 2 doses of Varicella should already be on record.
