Earl Elementary Classroom Party Volunteers
Hello, families!
We are in search of parents/guardians who are interested in serving as classroom party volunteers this year. The PTO coordinates and organizes 3 class parties each school year: Fall, Holiday, and Valentine’s Day. Classroom party volunteers provide a donation and/or their time by helping in the classroom during a party. Opportunities include serving as homeroom parent, party volunteer, and/or donating snacks or activities for the party. Reminder: All classroom party volunteers must have all current clearances on file. Please carefully read all information at the top of the form, and submit your availability no later than Friday, September 1.

4th GRADE STEM CHALLENGE
Fourth graders completed a STEM challenge based on themes from stories they read this week. They learned about “Treat others the way you want to be treated” in Each Kindness, “Have courage to be yourself” in Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun, and “You can do anything!” in Most Marshmallows. In teams, they worked to create the tallest structure using spaghetti sticks and marshmallows. They learned a lot about how to support each other in groups to ensure success!

Attention 4th and 5th grade parents! Elementary Band sign ups are happening now!
This week, the elementary band directors, Mrs. Mumie and Mr. Yoder, visited each elementary building to share information about joining the band. During their presentation, all of the band instruments were demonstrated, and all students were invited to “Meet the Instrument Night.”
On Wednesday, September 6 at 6:30 PM in the Middle School East Cafeteria, we are proud to present “Meet the Instrument Night” in partnership with Zeswitz Music. This event is designed to give students the chance to try out different instruments on sterilized mouthpieces and learn more about the band program. Representatives from Zeswitz Music will share information about their rental programs and the Boyertown Music League will have a treat for students as well! If you are interested in hearing more about the band program, please fill out the interest form at this link: bit.ly/BASDElemBandInterest Final registration for the band program will take place during “Meet the Instrument Night.” We hope to see you all there!
