Car Rider Dismissal
Student safety is our priority!
- No cell phone usage. You will be asked to get off your phone.
- Please be mindful of the volume of the music in your car while in the car rider lane as well as the language used in the music.
- Be sure to have a car tag. The front office can issue you one if you've lost it.
- Parents are welcome to stand outside their vehicle in the car rider line, however please do not leave your vehicle and walk to the hallway entrance. Students will be escorted to their vehicle.
- Please do not switch lanes once you've entered one.
Black History Month
Throughout the month of February we will be hosting a series of events, activities, and discussions honoring Black History Month.
- Guest speakers
- Art projects
- Research projects
- Morning Announcements will present key figures in black history
We are committed to creating a learning environment that promotes understanding, respect, and appreciation for all cultures and backgrounds. If you have any suggestions regarding our Black History Month activities, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Congratulations to our Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl
Career Day is coming to Sharon!
Notes from Nurse Parker
Please make sure to let your child’s teacher know if he/she has been diagnosed with flu or COVID. It is the WCSD procedure that students and staff may not return to school until they have been fever free, without the use of fever reducing medications, for 24 hours. Students who have vomited at home the night before or that morning should not be sent to school until 24 hours have passed without any vomiting.
Please also continue to encourage your children to wash their hands frequently and to not touch their faces. To assist with minimizing the germs, we have been fogging the classrooms in the afternoon.
We appreciate your help in maintaining the healthiest learning environment for your child while they are at school.
