Dear Families,
Our students and staff all did a great job transitioning back after vacation. They did much better than my own children who I have had to resort to new tactics to get them up in the morning for school. All kidding aside, our students were able to get right back into routines and continue with their learning.
Today, we had indoor recess because the "real feel" temperature was below 20 degrees. This increased the excitement about the upcoming snow storm on Sunday. With that, please remember to send your children in with weather appropriate clothing. Children will only be allowed to play in the snow if they have snow boots and snow pants. If you are in need of any these items, please reach out as we may have donated pairs that you could have.
As shared in the last update, I am scheduled for a medical procedure on Thursday that could not wait until summer. I will then be on a medical leave for a few weeks. In my absence, the office team will be covering. Mrs. Newman will continue the family newsletter every other week. If you have questions or concerns while I am out, please reach out to Mrs. Newman directly.
Best,
Melissa
Absences
Please remember to call your child into the absent line when they will be out sick. This is a safety measure. We will send an automated reminder if we have not heard from you. Not calling your child in, may result in us calling parents/guardians and emergency contacts. Thank you for your cooperation!
Access Testing
Our Multi-language learners will be participating in state Access testing over the next two weeks. If you have specific questions, please reach out to your child's MLL teacher Mrs. Tessier or Mrs. Pueschel.
