Spirit Day is tomorrow!
Spirit Day is this Tuesday, June 13th. It will run from 8:30 - 11:30. Students will come to school at regular time and be dismissed at noon. SPIRIT DAY IS FOR GRADES 1-7. Kindergarten and 8th grade have this before their last day of school.
I just wanted to go over a few things to make sure your sons and/or daughters are prepared for the big day. Everyone needs to dress in their gym shorts, so don’t put them away just yet. Depending on what team you are on, White or Blue, you can wear any appropriate t-shirt that color. Please no tank tops. If you would like to use face paint or hair dye to emphasize your team color, please do so and do it at home. We want all kids to come into school fully prepared. You can accessorize with bows, glasses, tattoos, etc. Have fun with it.
We would like each student to come to school with sneakers, a labeled water bottle and sunscreen on! Since the games are all outside, they will get thirsty and be exposed to UV rays!
The students will be dismissed as a normal half day schedule.
Looking forward to a fun filled day!!!!

~ After mass, students will remain in their pews in church and will be dismissed to you from there. Parents, please come to the pew to pick up your child.
~ Any student not picked up in church will return to school with the teachers to dismiss via bus, car, and walkers.
~ The ONLY buses that will be picking are Lower Merion and Marple Newtown.

Protecting God’s Children workshop at SKS
October 3, 7pm
St. Katharine’s will host a Protecting God’s Children workshop on October 3 at 7pm in the parish center. The Archdiocese requires all staff and volunteers who have regular contact (once a week or more) to complete this training. This includes adults working or volunteering in school, PREP, CYO and other parish activities. This is the most time-consuming requirement to complete – make it easier by completing it here at SKS. Registration for this in-person session will begin at the end of the summer. These workshops fill quickly! If you would like to be notified when registration opens or have questions about the Safe Environment requirements, contact Kim O’Neill at koneill@sksparish.org.
Prayer Corner
May we make our homes places of relaxation,
joy, love, peace and safety.
May we be generous and considerate,
not thinking only about ourselves,
but helping others enjoy the blessings of the summertime.
Lord God, Creator of all things,
guide our steps and strengthen our hearts
during these months of summer and vacation days.
Grant us refreshment of mind and body.
May we constantly strive to make a meaningful difference
in the lives of our loved ones and in the world around us
as we enjoy the warm days of summertime.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Many, many thanks for a wonderful year at school!
Words cannot express the gratitude and joy I feel as we wrap up the school year. Your children have worked so hard each day and have made many accomplishments this year. I have been blessed to witness their growth and development throughout the year. Thank you for the support you have shown me during this first year as principal. I am looking forward to many more years partnering with our community to keep our school thriving!
I know you are going to miss the weekly emails from me. :) This summer I will scale back on the communication and am planning to reach out once per month to share updates here at school. I wish your families a safe, relaxing, and fun summer together. Don't forget about working in a bit of reading and math each day to keep skills strong, while at the same time giving your child the space to recharge and reenergize for the coming year. I am always here if you need anything. Please know how much I love each of your children. They truly are a gift to us and I thank you for sharing them with us here at SKS. Happy summer!
God Bless You!
