Student Support Services Update
March 2022
Department of Student Affairs
The department of Student Affairs completed our Spring semester Success Walk. The Spring ISD Success Walk is a district-wide student support initiative that focused on students with attendance concerns during the 2021-2022 school year. This semester we targeted students that had an ADA rate below 75% for August 8, 2021 - January 14, 2022. These students were targeted in part to address the TEA minimum compliance standard for credit and the need to increase our daily district ADA rate.
We started the morning with a Kick-Off event hosted by Westfield HS that included photos, fun, food, and general fellowship. We also were able to hear from a Spring ISD graduate that currently works in the district, Technology Specialist, Mrs. Jackie Gilchrist on the impact that Spring ISD has made in her life!
Thanks to the combined efforts of all of our Spring ISD team members we were able to secure over 1,091 attendance commitments from students and parents!
