Dear Jaguar Band Families,

Here we are with another week zooming by in the blink of an eye. We should do the most important thing first, and that is to go ahead and give everyone their Tuesday Morning Greeting of “May the 4th Be With You”!

Now, on to the week ahead! This week we wrap up our SNAP Fundraiser. The event officially ends in three days!! We are so close to reaching that final goal! One last push should help us get there!! A BIG thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success!!

This week we have another Guard Camp!! We want to encourage any student interested in being part of the Jaguar Guard to attend! Spread the word, and let’s help this awesome group continue to grow! This week's camp is at JHS from 5 - 7:20 p.m.

Also this week we have our regularly scheduled percussion camps! All percussionists please make sure you attend on your group's scheduled date and time. Contact Mr. Lunsford if you have any questions.

Calling all students interested in becoming a Jaguar Band SLT Member (SLT=Student Leadership Team)! We will have our second meeting this Tuesday at 3 p.m. during advisory! Virtual students we will again use Mr. Malik’s zoom link! All candidates can pick up their application packet this week in the band hall. Virtual students may send any band director an email requesting an SLT packet, as well!

Friday, May 7, is a major deadline!!! This is the deadline to submit your Band Placement Recordings for all Band Members in grades 8 - 11! Remember, all music and instructions are located in Schoology. All percussion and guard members will have a different process for class placement. You are exempt from the May 7 deadline.

• May 13 - JHS Band Spring Concert
• May 20, 21 & 22 - Full Band Spring Camp (includes all winds, percussion, and guard grades 8 - 11)
• May 20 - Updated 21 - 22 Show Reveal after practice!
• June 9 & 10 - Drum Major Camp @ LHS
• June 16 & 17 - THE BREAKDOWN MOVEMENT CLINIC (open to ALL Jag Band Members)

Election ballots will be sent to each paid Jaguar Band Booster member on Thursday, May 6, via email to the address provided via membership registration.

Virtual voting takes place from noon on Thursday, May 6, through noon on Tuesday, May 11.

Emails were already sent to each paid member confirming the validity of their email account and for any needed or missing information (i.e. family membership second email address). Please know that the email will be sent from a platform called Election Buddy.

The Johnson Jaguar Band depends in large part on the fundraising efforts of the Band Boosters. Sponsorships are a very important part of fundraising. Our Sponsorship levels have been updated, and we have a lot of exciting options for businesses AND families! A new addition to our Sponsorship options is the Friends and Family Level. This level offers various options for businesses as well as an option for band families: For $200, you can have your child’s name and graduation year on our band trailer indefinitely with the option to simultaneously add sibling name for an additional $100.
