WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!
Dear Viking Families,
As we round the final bend of the school year, I want to take a moment to pause and reflect on how blessed we are as a school community.
Every day, we walk into a school that is not only beautiful, but built to inspire learning, leadership, and lifelong friendships. From our academic wings to our athletic fields, we are blessed with facilities that many schools can only dream of. These buildings, these classrooms, and these shared spacesβnone of them happened by accident. They are the result of years of vision, commitment, and investment from those who came before us. We are, quite literally, standing on the shoulders of others who believed in the power of education and community.
And yet, buildings alone do not make a school greatβpeople do. I am overwhelmed with appreciation for the incredible teachers, staff, and coaches who pour into our students every single day. They stay late, arrive early, and show up with heart. They challenge, encourage, guide, and believe in every child who walks through our doors. Their dedication is the foundation of our success.
Speaking of successβwhat a year it has been! We are thrilled to celebrate District Championships in UIL Academics, Girls and Boys Golf, and Girls and Boys Track. These victories represent not just talent, but tireless effort, countless hours of preparation, and the unwavering support of families and mentors. We are proud of our students, not just for the trophies theyβve brought home, but for the way they represent Lago Vista with integrity and Viking pride.
As we continue to build momentum and look toward the future, let us remember that every step forward is possible because of those who have lifted us upβour families, our staff, our community. Together, weβre building something remarkable.
Thank you for believing in our kids. Thank you for being part of this journey.
With deep gratitude,
Janda Castillo

ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS- SHOOT!
LVHS PALS sponsored the 1st Annual Battle of the Beads this week as a fun, stress-free morale booster as we enter the final weeks of the school year! Here's how it went down:
- PALS provided one strand of blue beads to every student on Monday. Teachers and staff received gold beads.
- Starting Monday, during passing periods and lunch ONLY, students challenged each other to a best of 3 "rock, paper, scissors" match. Winner takes the loser's beads.
- When a student accumulated FIVE beads, they could challenge a teacher for their gold beads. Gold beads are worth 2 in the final count. Teachers take student's beads if they win.
- During Advisory on Thursday, we had the final showdown of students and teachers with the most beads to battle it out in the gym.
- Winners of each grade level and a GRAND CHAMPION received gift cards!
