Volume 5 Issue 22
It was a great week to be a Maverick. 😀 Maverick Hangout was on Wednesday and Mrs. Dove received her grant from the Rotary. In addition, our high school oceanography students did a fascinating dissection pictured that analyzed the bolus of an albatross. The dissection allowed students to identify the impact of polution in our oceans via the bolus. One of the bolus even had a lighter!
Be sure to mark your calendars and join us for our Principal/Counselor Coffee this Wednesay at 8:30 am. See below for more details.
This week's background features pictures from this month's Maverick Hangout. It was a celebration of the new year, pizza, and lots of fun.

Principal's Message...
Next Wednesday, February 7th, we will be having our monthly Principal/Counselor Coffee. This month, we are looking at a slightly different format. We'll continue to have the delicious coffee and tasty pastries available compliments of our PTA, but will be adding an opportunity for parents to have a Q and A with Mrs. Wijnhamer and Mr. Fineberg. We will be responding to questions submitted prior to the meeting using this link as well as a presentation on Growth Mindset. Please take a moment to share your questions as well as mark your calendars to attend either in person or virtually.
For our seniors, it's time to start thinking about graduation. Parents and students mark your calendar for Thursday, May 30th at 3 pm at the stadium at Tustin High School. There are no tickets as all are invited to celebrate our grads.
Additionally, as mentioned last week, you should have received a communication from TUSD about an LCAP Family Survey. The information gained from the survey goes a long way in our TUSD's planning and financial expenditures. It's critical that our voice is heard and the best way to do that is to complete the survey. For instructions on accessing and filling out the survey please click the link: English / Spanish
Lastly, we are excited to announce that the second of two e-vehicle Safety Presentations is scheduled for February 20 @ 5 pm @ Pioneer Middle School. The presentation is designed for students planning to ride an e vehicle to school and will include the opportunity to purchase a permit for $5 which will be required for students who ride an e-vehicle. See the flyer for more information.
As always, if you have any questions, compliments, ideas, and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at (714) 430-2052 ext. 52103 or efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us. Have a great weekend.
