Weekly News and Updates - Volume 3 Issue 21 - 2/3/2023
Week in Review
Welcome to February! This month we are celebrating Black History throughout campus with readings in the library, activities in class, and our favorite guest speaker, Rev. Bruce Jackson, returns to inspire our 3rd-5th graders with his words of wisdom. Next week, we're also celebrating the 100th day of school and our Valentine's Family Dance on Friday night. Don't miss out! Our UTK-2nd grade students will also be starting their second round of reading assessments. We can't wait to see how much growth they've made. Stay tuned for more on that!

the right path
and you're willing to keep walking,
eventually you'll make progress."

Valentine's Dance - Volunteers Needed!
Hey Families, there's still volunteer opportunities available during the dance, and we will also need help cleaning up after the dance. You do not have to volunteer for the full time, any amount of your time is appreciated!
As a reminder this is a family dance. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
There will be light concessions (water, juice, popcorn, chips, and store-bought baked goods). In addition to dancing there will be Valentine’s Day card crafting, a Photo Booth, and a basketball arcade game.
The PTA also welcomes ALL donations! đŸ™‚
The deadline to drop off donations will be Wednesday, February 8th. If you have photos/descriptions of decorations/concessions you are willing to donate, please email Ashleigh Ledoux (ashleigh.ledoux@gmail.com) as soon as possible. This will help us plan more efficiently. If you would like your donated items returned, please be sure to write your name on the item.
This will be a fun and exciting night for our students! Please email Ashleigh with any questions.
Student of the Week
Our Student of the Week is Lorenzo in Mrs. Wilson's 1st Grade Class. Lorenzo is a newer Fletcher Falcon. He came in right away ready to work hard and make new friends. He has already moved up two levels in reading and has only been here for 3 weeks! Great job!. Way to go, Lorenzo! Thank you for being a phenomenal Falcon!
