The Coyote Corner
End of the 1st Semester Edition
Wow...That Went Fast!
December is just as busy with several school events, so I encourage you and your child to stay involved and participate in as many events as possible because middle school will be over in a blink of an eye.
WINTER WONDERLAND. Our Semi-Formal Dance
As the students get older, they are going to get invited to attend different events that require a more formal dress code. Here at the middle school, we have several events that are considered semi-formal including this dance, our promotion ceremony, and the end of year dance for the 7th and 8th graders.
For these events, we ask that the students dress up a little more than normal and have a great time with friends. We do not allow shorts, leggings, or denim jeans and shirts must be collared. We see a variety of outfits, including dresses, pants suits, button up shirts with ties, bow-ties, and even the occasional full suit! This is a great chance to dress up and have fun.
If dressing up is not your thing, no worries. We ask that you skip this dance and join us at our next school dance in February, which is not a semi-formal event.
Parking Lot Updates
As you drive through our parking lot, you will notice that some portions of the asphalt were fixed over the Thanksgiving Break, but the top sealcoating and restriping were not completed as we were expecting. Unfortunately, we were told that the weather was too cold and we would have to wait until Spring to complete the rest of the repairs. We will keep you updated with any more information we receive after the weather warms up.
The Renaissance Rave
We are proud to announce that our school has started sending out a student-led newspaper, the Renaissance Rave. Led by editor Charlie L., and sponsored by Mrs. Perrine, students in the Renaissance class are excited to share school news with you. It will be published about once a month and has had 2 editions already distributed. If you have ideas or stories you want to see covered, please see a member of the newspaper team during exploratory time.
