My heart is happy after seeing the students today. Their bright smiles and warm hugs were exactly what I needed to jump start a great year. I am asking them to focus on achieving academic goals in 2024. We only have 60 school days until we have the opportunity to show our progress on TNReady testing. December benchmark assessments indicate that our students are exceeding typical growth expectations! Congratulations to Marley McArthur and Ayden Curtis. These two students have each made more than 6 YEARS worth of progress since we began in August!

Most weather forecasts for our area predict a messy winter. This is a big deal because as already mentioned, we are running out of days to grow our brains!!! Please make sure that students attend every school day unless sick. In the event of school cancellations ask students to review concepts and standards they feel need more practice to master. Most importantly encourage students to read everyday. Reading for fun will encourage imagination, creativity, problem solving, build vocabulary, background knowledge, and even enhance social skills. What else is there to do on snow days? Encourage your child to get creative while reading, share a picture for house points!
