Message from the Principal's Desk
Greetings Titan Families,
The school year is marching along quickly! Next Friday, September 22, is already mid-term. I encourage you to check Schoology with your student to check for missing assignments and ask questions about your student’s grades. If you have specific questions related to a course, please reach out to the teacher.
In addition to next Friday being mid-term, it is also Fair Day. As a result, schools will dismiss 3.5 hours early. Please note our Fair Day schedule (listed on the second page). We will run all four blocks, however only our AM CTC students will attend CTC for the morning. Our PM CTC students will report to the Media Center for blocks 3 and 4 and eat on 4th lunch. Also, schools will be closed on Monday, September 25.
Please mark your calendars for our upcoming Homecoming festivities! The Homecoming parade, Fangate, and football game will occur on Friday, October 6 and the Homecoming dance will be on Saturday, October 7. We are looking forward to a week filled with Titan spirit.
I hope that you all are able to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!
Sincerely,
Lisa Smith
Principal

Senior Portraits
After experiencing ongoing challenges with Lifetouch, we felt it was in the best interest of our school and our community to make a change in school photography vendors immediately. The vendor we've selected for the 23-24 school year is Legacy Studios. Legacy comes highly recommended by other FCPS schools who are currently working with them. A no cost, yearbook-only sitting is available to all seniors; with this change in vendors, we ask that seniors who were previously photographed by Lifetouch, be photographed again by Legacy for the yearbook. This will ensure the continuity of the portraits that appear in the senior section of our yearbook. Again, this will be at no cost to the student. In addition, all seniors will have the opportunity to select from a variety of upgraded sitting levels, which include cap and gown and casual clothing options, if they'd like.
Senior Portraits are scheduled for October 3rd - 4th and October 9th - 11th. Appointments should be scheduled through https://seniors.legacystudios.com/.

Underclassmen Pictures
In an effort to provide Tuscarora High School students and families with improved picture quality and customer service, we will now be utilizing Legacy Studios as the official school photographer. Underclassmen picture days will be September 29th and October 2nd. Please disregard email communication from Lifetouch. If you already paid through Lifetouch for underclassmen pictures, they will refund your payment so that you can purchase school pictures from Legacy Studios during our upcoming picture days.
We apologize for the confusion this may have caused. Thank you for your patience and continued partnership! Our hope is that this decision will benefit our school community.
September 29th: All 9th grade and 10th from last name beginning with A - N
