TA on 2023-24 Compensation Package

Last May, the TVEA Executive Board and Leadership Council of TVEA provided parameters to the TVEA Bargaining Committee to proceed with compensation negotiations focused on making gains with prevailing wages in the area. The TVEA Executive Board is proud to endorse the Tentative Agreement on compensation reached with TVUSD on September 18, 2023.

1. Bargaining unit members in active paid status as of September 27, 2023 receive a one-time off schedule payment equivalent to 1.5% of their salary for the 2023-24 school year.
2. An 8% increase will be applied to all Salary Schedule cells retroactive to July 1.
3. Stipends that are indexed to the Stipend/Extra Duty Base of column A1 will also be adjusted. You can reference the contract stipend schedule.

Members can expect the new salary schedule to be effective on the October 2023 pay warrant. (That is October 31st)

The goal of the District is to pay the 1.5% off-schedule payment in the November 2023 pay warrant. The District will notify TVEA if the off-schedule payment will be issued later than November 2023.

The retroactive increase for the 2023-24 school year will be paid as soon as possible thereafter. This includes salary, extra duty, indexed stipends, 6/5ths, July summer school dates, etc.
