Henry Happenings
January 07, 2024
Principal Message
It was a great week back after Winter Break! Our whole school spent some time reviewing our school wide expectations through a sports themed "play book" and we are continuing to review with daily trivia on our live morning video announcements each day. Talk to your children about Henry's Core Values and how they can show responsibility, perseverance, kindness, and inclusivity each day at Henry!
Click here to learn more about how Parkway plans for Winter Weather! Learn what to expect, how we will contact you, and how to prepare!
Keep reading below to learn more about HRSH curriculum, lost and found, 24-25 Kindergarten, Trivia Night and so much more!
Go Bulldogs!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jodi Oliver

Mark Your Calendars for Multicultural Night on Friday, March 8th
Mark your calendars for Friday, March 8th at 6:00 PM! Students and families can come learn about the wonderful cultures and heritages that make up Henry!
At Multicultural Night you’ll find:
- TABLES representing different countries and cultures. Students can take their “passport” and get a stamp at each table!
- FOOD from around the world will be shared in the cafeteria. Taste a little bit of this and that and take home a few new recipes!
- PERFORMANCES by our own students and families will be showcased in the gym. Enjoy music, dance, poem recitals, presentations, fashion shows, and more!
In addition to attending, we need help to make this night a success! Please consider these ways to volunteer:
- Host a Table - Students and Families can sign up to display items about a country/ethnicity/heritage. Share about the people, customs, languages, fashion, etc. You don’t need to come from the country you represent! You’ll also give out “stamps” so that students can fill up their passports!
- Performance - Encourage your student to take the stage and show off a little bit about their culture! Recite a poem, sing an anthem, dance, show off some fashion!
- Share Food - Bring food from around the world and share with other students. Maybe you can prepare a special dish and have recipe cards to hand out, or you can simply bring pre-packaged treats with notes on where families can purchase locally! The idea here is that we want families to sample flavors from around the world.
More details in the flyer below or to volunteer, please click here. Questions can also be emailed to Jose Artiaga.
